We are pleased to invite you to an open house celebrating the opening of UCSF's beautiful new Clinical Skills Center (CSC), comprising rooms S18, S20, and S22 in the Medical Sciences Building at the Parnassus campus. The room will be open 3:30 – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19 to show off the new space to the whole campus community.
With over $1 million in funding from Educational Technology Services, as well as support from the EVCP's Office and the School of Medicine Dean's Office, the three little-used basement rooms have been transformed into a welcoming, state-of-the-art, shared education space with all new equipment, including: a moveable skywall to provide team workspace and dual instruction, hospital beds, hi-low treatment tables, exercise mats, a suspension training system, porcelain whiteboards, cubbies for the students’ belongings, three wall-mounted LCD displays with wireless interface, mobile audio and video conferencing capability, and more. Transformation of the S18, S20 and S22 classrooms is part of a 10-year plan to upgrade classrooms and learning spaces, the beginning stages of EVCP Dan Lowenstein’s plan to revitalize the Parnassus campus.
Hope to see you there!
