Classroom Support

General Information

  • Business Hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Please provide a copy of your room confirmation to the person in charge of the event.
  • For emergency assistance during your event, call the Classroom Support Helpline at 476-4357.

WIFI Information

Audio/Video Equipment

  • Every general assignment classroom managed by ETS has projection equipment built-in.  There is no need to import basic AV gear.
  • Every classroom is checked at the beginning of each day to assure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Classroom Support cannot assure the availability of specialized equipment outside that described for each room.
  • Please contact Classroom Support well in advance of your event to determine availability and any charge for the service.
  • To obtain additional audio/video equipment or support, please contact Classroom Support at 476-4310.

    Please note: All of the classroom projectors have been programmed to automatically shut down at 10 p.m.

Furniture

  • Please do not remove furniture and equipment from rooms.
  • If furniture is rearranged, please return it to its original configuration.
  • Classroom furniture shouldn't be used to stage food and beverages.
  • Most rooms use flip-top tables which cannot bear the weight of a sitting or reclining body.
  • To request additional tables or chairs, please contact Facilities Management at 476-2021 prior to your event.

After-Hour Event Access

  • For events at Parnassus on weekends, event participants should enter via the UCSF Medical Center main entrance at 505 Parnassus Avenue. Be prepared to show photo ID. Any building exit can be used for egress.

Emergency Information

  • Non-emergency weekends/after-hours 476-1414: UCPD, open 24 hours day/7 days a week, they charge for some services 476-4066: Power Plant/utilities, puts you in touch with campus engineers, they can help with electric power, lock outs, etc. They do not charge for their services.
  • Non-emergency weekdays 476-2021: CPFM, open Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. On the weekends they will forward calls to the power plant number above Emergency 9 - 911.
  • Must dial from a land line campus phone, this is the fastest way to get help on campus in case of emergency 911.
  • From cell phone, will be redirected a few times to call centers before help arrives.

Parnassus Campus

  • Clinical Sciences Building: Depending on where the fire or damage done by an earthquake is located, please proceed to the plaza in front of the Dentistry Building on 707 Parnassus or Saunders Courtyard.
  • Health Sciences West Building: Depending on where the fire or damage done by an earthquake is located, please proceed to 5th Avenue sidewalk between Kirkham and Judah Streets or Saunders Courtyard.
  • Medical Sciences Building: Depending on where the fire or damage done by an earthquake is located, please proceed to Parnassus Avenue, Saunders courtyard or the Dentistry Building on 707 Parnassus.
  • Please wait for the UC Police Department for notification to re-enter buildings.

Mission Bay Campus

  • Genentech Hall Building: Depending on where the fire or damage done by an earthquake is located, please proceed to Main Parking Lot – North East side of Genentech Hall.
  • Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Building: Depending on where the fire or damage done by an earthquake is located, please proceed to 3rd Street.
  • Rock Hall Building: Depending on where the fire or damage done by an earthquake is located, please proceed to 4th and Koret Quad.
  • Please wait for the UC Police Department for notification to re-enter buildings.
  • Mission Hall is open during day but requires badge access after hours.
